Desmond Tutu
Hello friends, I would like to share a post from the wonderful Facebook group Jesuits West, based in Portland, Oregon. Desmond Tutu understood that ecumenism can help to tear down religious, political, and social walls that separate us from our common humanity. How fitting that he would choose this period of universal peace between the old year and the new to slip away, as if to say “it is our turn now to carry on the work.” May your holiday week be filled with the promise of a new year ahead and resolve to face the work that still has to be done.
