Impermanence

It is natural in many families to want things to continue on, to hope for deeper understanding, even to get better in some way. However when cancer or other illness strikes at this idea, the impermanence of life becomes a fact impossible to ignore.

Peace as a personal choice

The war in Ukraine is the latest example that tribal conflict is deeply rooted in human nature and, in Putin’s case, a desire for historical glory. Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us that peace, “the way,” is also a personal choice.
